Discovery
Resources are devoted to the research and determination of the company's positioning within their industry. IFI offers analysis from both a visual and content perspective to assist the client in positioning against competitors. The development of the website logic and navigation tree follows next with general directions set for content. Emphasis is placed on the development of the home page in terms of visual priority, displaying key content and accurately identifying the core audience. Parameters of the web pages and image motif can be explored prior to the creative design stage where all of these key aspects will be incorporated.
Web Design
Creative explorations are developed following an approved navigation structure. Typically, multiple approaches are presented for consideration. From there, iterations are explored that meet the criteria set in the Discovery stage. Naturally, the initial focus will be on the home page as the cornerstone of the site and design reference point. If starting from scratch, the content of the website can be developed concurrently with the design process. The goal is to provide a draft of the navigation using the new website design prior to actual HTML implementation.
Web Development
The approved website design (in Adobe Photoshop/Image Ready file format) can be provided to the 3rd party web developer or a contracting partner provided by IFI. Approximately two to three weeks are generally allocated to the development of the code according to the specifications including search engine optimization requirements. This first delivery initially provides a fully functional site without the approved content yet in place. Once the navigation and site operations are approved, the content is then be applied to the individual pages. Sufficient time is devoted to testing, incorporation of previous content and the soft launching of the website on a staging server prior to official website deployment. Search Engine Optimization
How your content is written and organized affects your rank on search engines. Content recommendations and optimization is provided to increase relevancy in search engines for target keyword phrases. Title tags, alt tags and Meta descriptions are often used in search engines along with the actual text content on your site. Depending upon the needs of the customer, IFI and its partners can offer additional web services for organic search marketing, search engine submission, Google Adwords Select, inbound link development (partner development) and site traffic analysis to meet your e-business objectives.
